Keep it shut

Turn it up

We may want to turn the thermostat right down just to get some reprieve on those sweltering days. However, if you keep the temperature at 24°, your home will be comfortable and your wallet will be thankful. And every degree makes a difference, just 1° lower and you could add up to 15% to your electricity bill.

Take it outside

Not that we need another reason to love our BBQs, but, they can help you save money by allowing you to cook outside and keep the temperature down inside the house. If the BBQ isn’t an option for you, all is not lost. Make the most of your microwave, slow cooker or air fryer. Anything you can do to avoid turning your oven on will help keep your house cooler.
